Hi Beauties!

It’s a definitely a time to be alive in 2020. It’s basically quarantine or bust due to the Coronavirus, The Rona, or in proper terms Covid-19. To me it seems unthinkable that anything so on trend would sound so non-gluten free, yet here we are in the thick of it. Let’s just say my current traumatic stress disorder is vibrating at a ferociously high frequency. The only thing keeping me from going completely deranged is thinking about how much UV damage I’m escaping by staying indoors. Still, my hands are raw from all the washing and my eyes are sore from looking at myself in these hideous face masks. And the most tragic thing? Face recognition on my phone won’t identify me en mask which I suppose is both a blessing and a downright curse.

I’ve been filling my days by exhausting my latte machine, disinfecting, taking long baths, disinfecting, doing a multitude of face and hair masks, disinfecting, and sipping on Rosé. Oh, and did I mention disinfecting? I day dream about going to the spa, sitting in a steam room, filling my lungs with tantalizing eucalyptus. Still attempting to rationalize the thought of how a day spa is not considered an “essential business.” I know it is important to obey the current status quo of isolation but it has proven to be calamitous.

Then it occurred to me. I’m sure I’m not the only one bored at home with crocodile hands and a spa addiction. Maybe there’s someone out there that needs to hear about the moisturizing properties of rose oil or a reminder that Aquaphor is our friend. Somebody that also enjoys making their own face masks (not the cloth or N95 kind). Someone who might want tips and tricks for calming the mind and eliminate spinning out on how many squares of toilet paper are left. Even someone interested in suggestions on delicious scents of candles.

Let’s commit to solidarity together by residing in our very own day spas together in our robes, spiking our Kombucha, and flattening that curve!
